PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
International Observe the Moon Night is an annual event that invites people from all around the world to take part in a celebration of lunar observation, science, and exploration. Since 2010, International Observe the Moon Night has provided opportunities to learn and to honor cultural and personal connections to the Moon. This year’s event is on September 14th. We’ll review how you can get involved in this year’s celebration, including how to register, promote, and support your own observing event!

Our Goal

The Library Telescope Program fosters scientific literacy, stimulates interest in astronomy, and offers the awe and excitement of exploring the night sky to those who may have never looked through a telescope.
